Everything you are chasing in life has a spirit that must first be understood, then attracted, then tamed, then domesticated.
Man is master.
Follow me.
What many might call wisdom is often a manifestation of "Pattern Recognition".
People with this flavor of psychic acuity can connect dots unseen by many to give meaning to past, current and future events.
It is because every situation under the sun has its equivalent somewhere, either in a different time or different dimension (or space).
Got it? Space - Time, as in Laws of Space and Time?
See it now?
Space (Geography): Cassava is not originally Nigerian. Someone observed that the climates of Nigeria and Brazil were geographical equivalents, and brought cassava here to see if they would grow.
The rest is history, even so that most Nigerians think Cassava is ours.
Time (Past): People in Bible times observed John the Baptist and could give meaning to his eccentric ways because they had studied his cosmic equivalent, Elijah, who came in a previous time.
I guess their best articulation was to allege reincarnation, but yeah, not exactly, but something like that.
Other Notable Examples
Scientists observed the atom in order to understand the Solar system.
The Wright brothers observed the flight of birds in order to invent the aviation industry.
Traders of securities (stocks, currencies, commodities, etc) keep detailed records of price action through time in their effort to speculate on future price action.
It's all about discerning/observing the spirit of a thing in order to uncover its patterns and unseen characteristics.
This is how humans were able to tame, breed and domesticate the most ferocious beasts - through careful observation to the point of predictability.
Our pursuits in life each have their space/time equivalent.
What are you chasing in life?
Stop and find its space/time equivalent.
Study the spirit of its space/time equivalent and you will understand the present, and maybe predict the future.
I used this principle to predict the outcome of this past Nigerian Elections.
In 2023, I explained to a small group of proteges in Lagos, that the spirit of the coming elections resembled one that had occurred many years ago in another country (which I will not name here).
Seeing the outcome of theirs made me 100% sure of how ours would go.
When it happened as predicted, I reminded my students 'cause I get a kick from saying "I told you so".
By the way, I did not even vote.
Something about being too busy vacationing or something of the sort, but I digress.
There's a reason Kings, Generals, Nobles and their offspring are well tutored on history.
They get that:
- Understanding the rise and fall of empires can give insight to modern day statecraft.
- Having a grasp of the wars that shaped the world can teach something about modern warfare
- Learning the intent behind money and banking can instruct us about wealth in the digital economy
For as the wise King Solomon so eloquently put it:
"What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which one can say, “Look! This is something new”? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time."
This Saturday at Night School, we will learn "The Spirit of Things: The Science of Predictable Results".
Some key deliverables include:
- Digging deeper into the Cosmic Law of Correspondence and its modern applications
- What can hidden lessons in secondary school Biology/Physics/Chemistry teach us about the nature of the world?
- Success Principles hidden in the power of language
- and more... you know how it goes
